Project information

Project MSV Regalia

MSV Regalia is a semi-submersible multi-service vessel able to work in all geographical areas. She offers accommodation for 282 offshore personnel in single cabins. All accommodation, entertainment, catering, office and exercise facilities were replaced. New main engines were fitted and the thrusters and DP system were completely refurbished. The MSV Regalia underwent a major refurbishment in 2008/2009 at Keppel Verolme, thereby extending the life of the vessel substantially. During the refurbishment, the rig was equipped with new accommodation modules, including 300 single cabins; the hull, structure, machinery, general systems and equipment were also upgraded.

Croon managed, integrated, installed and commissioned the following
systems:

  •  New 440V and 230V switchboards, emergency switchboards and UPS systems
  •  Cabling for new and existing fire dampers for the new fire panels, including concept and integration
  •  Outside lights and floodlights
  •  Heat tracing for all exterior piping
  •  Outfitting gangways and the new access tower
  •  Outfitting containerised high-voltage transformers including highvoltage cables
  •  Backbone fibre optic and CAT6 cables in patch cabinets
  •  Upgrade of all lifeboat davits
